Internet of things or IOT is Very widespread any many People are using the Technology of IOT but still there are people who want to know about it or they are still Confused about it.

Nowadays, not only your computer and mobile phones are connected to Internet but there even many more devices which are connected to Internet like your Security Cameras, GPS, Cars and even your Air Conditioners and Heaters.

So simply many Devices or Things are Connected to Internet and Simply these all Things are Internet of Things or IOT.

 

*Introduction to Internet of Things*

Internet of Things or IOT is a platform or any technology by which any Device can be Connected to Internet and that same Device could be connected to other IOT Device and thus it creates an IOT Network.

So very Simply, IOT means Connecting any normal Device like mixer and control it by Internet and use it by your Mobile Phone. You can connect so many Devices to IOT to which you Never thought.

If all those things are not connected to internet then there is no existence of IOT.

 

Refrigerators, Tele Vision, Washing Machine and all other kind of Devices can be connected to Internet and through the same it can be operated by you and Yes, this thing is possible because few years ago you would have never thought of Mobile Phone to use Internet and do multitasking because at that time they were only used for calling. So in the same way controlling things through IOT is also Possible.

 

*History of IOT*

The concept and Technology of IOT is very OLD, in 1982 a Coke Machine was made as an IOT Device and its task was to tell any person that the coke Bottles in it are chilled or not. That Technology was very much new at that time.

 

So in Detail, IOT is any Platform where many Electronic Devices are connected to each other through Internet and they share Data with Each other and get Synced together.

All of those kind of devices are connected to an IOT Hub through Internet and through that Hub all command are Received and get Distributed to all other Devices.

 

*EXAMPLES of IOT in Daily Lives*

 

1) ROAD SYSTEM WITH IOT

Normally the Traffic Lights on the Road change their light at certain fixed timed and the Data of this time is stored in them and they also can’t go against the data set in them but if all Traffic Lights are connected to Internet and they all get upgraded to IOT so they can become very smart lights. In any situation like an Accident, like if there is any accident away from any Traffic Light on the Road so through the Sensors over the Road, the data of Road Accident will be sent to the City Control System and that Control System will give Command to all Other Traffic Lights (connected to Internet) of that Region to Make Another Way for all other People on the Road So that they won’t get Stuck in the Traffic Jam caused due to The Road Accident.

People who don’t know about The Accident can go through the other way suggested by the other Traffic Lights any people could go from there without creating any chaos.

IN THE WHOLE PROCESS THERE WAS NO HUMAN ENVOLVMENT AND ALL THE WORK WAS DONE BY IOT DEVICES.

This Technology of IOT is very much Efficient and it saves Man power, Time and Cost. In this way IOT Technology solved the Problem and did its work simply; due to less traffic on the road, all problems Caused by the Accident will be Solved.

 

2) IOT in your Daily Lives

ASSUME that you leave your home at 7:00 AM for your Office and at 6:30 AM YOUR ALRM CLOCK RINGS MAKES you wake up and You get Ready but you get a bad news that all Trains to your Work place are cancelled, So you decide that you will Drive to your place but outside its raining Heavily so you will have to drive carefully and slowly and you would be definitely late.

Now you are trapped in a VERY BAD Situation but if your Alarm Clock was an IOT device so it would analyze all the Situation Outside and according to the Condition in the Enviroment it can easily Reset all of its time for Alarm and it will Wake Up you at 6:00 AM instead of Regular time of 6:30 AM and will now get to know the Reason for your Early Wake Up.

Now can Self Drive Slowly and Steadily and reach to your office in time.

 

3) IOT at Your Home

If our Home is IOT enabled and we have IOT Devices in our Home so they all would be connected to a Hub in our Home. In this way the devices like Alarm Clock or Coffee Maker like Devices will be connected to Your Mobile Phone. In the condition of Heavy Rain your Alarm Clock will automatically get all information of the conditions and it will Automatically reset its Alarm time to 6:00 AM rather that the Regular time of 6:30 AM for that day.

You would wake up at 6:00 AM, get to know all situations and start to get ready, by the time your Coffee Maker will Automatically make Coffee for you before time (because it is also an IOT Device) and now you can get enough time to get Ready and go to your Office Safely.

In this way and in many other type of Difficult situation, all IOT devices would do their Work by their own for Saving your time and they would help you saving your time and tackle all situations whether its raining heavily or your trains have been cancelled; all your IOT devices would sync to each other and help you.

 

4) IOT with Famous Personality

Nowadays people’s Homes, garages and Cars are connected to Internet. Even Mark Zuckerberg’s house is Connected to Internet and it is operated by an AI Jarvis. There are different kind of Sensors connected to  Mark Zuckerberg’s house in all places , so through those Sensors all Information of His home are sent to His Mobile Phone and whenever he is at his office then also He can get all Information of His Home.

In this way if any bad situation would occur at his home then He can simply call for Help or take any Action by Himself.

 

*Problems Due To IOT*

Any Technology has its Good and Bad impacts both and this thing is also applicable for The Technology of IOT or Internet of Things.

As all Devices are connected to Internet so there is also a Big risk for your IOT Devices to get HACKED, many things like your Cars, your Home and other Important things can get Hacked.

An Experienced HACKER can easily Hack your IOT Devices or any big IOT HUB of any big Locality or your City As A Whole. This thing can Seriously cause very much big Disaster like situation.
