They are commonly used for stealing the Private information of any User and then with that Information, Hacker can do frauds. User might get so many Emails from bad sources which might appear as an Email from any Good Organization or Source, they ask the User to send all their Important details to their Email address for any Purpose, but majority of  those Emails are fraud or fake.

The main motive of the sender of that Email is to steal Our all Credit Card details, Passwords and Login details.
